The call to missions is a vital part of CBC’s overall strategy for preaching the Gospel to the entire world. We support mission work around the globe in various capacities. In 2014 we commissioned a missionary couple to go to the Pacific Rim where we have adopted an Unengaged Unreached People Group (UUPG). This year, the Rice Mountain People was officially moved from the UUPG list to the UPG (Unreached People Group) list by the International Mission Board of the SBC. Calvary continues its mission to the Rice Mountain People in the Pacific Rim today with the goal of removing them from the UPG list. You can read the story of our vision trip in the SBTexan. Added to this work, CBC has also adopted four IMB missionary families who serve in various locations around the world and, little closer to home, one of our own is serving as a chaplain in the U.S. Army. This Summer, we have another family in our church family returning to do mission work in Montenegro. They plan on making this a full time mission endeavor in the Summer of 2019. Check out this informative brochure to find out more about their work, or check out their website at www.gtomn.com.
As for local mission work, we’re involved in the Jesus Closet Ministry.
