FAQ

What to expect?

At Calvary, we understand it can be very overwhelming to walk into a new church.  We want you to feel the warmth of our family and feel at home when visiting Calvary.  We have answered a few questions that might help you feel more at home as you prepare to visit Calvary.

When and where do you meet on Sunday mornings?

Bible Study meets at 9:00 am and Worship begins at 10:15 am.  A detailed map to our main campus can be accessed from the Campuses section of the CBC app.

What will it be like?

At Calvary Baptist Church, we recognize that people matter to God.  So, people matter to us! We promise that you will find a warm and inviting atmosphere when you visit. You will meet many smiling faces and

be welcomed into our church. At 9 a.m. we gather for Bible Study.  When you come through the front entrance, you will be warmly greeted by ushers who will escort your family to the appropriate location(s). Worship begins at 10:15 a.m. in our Worship Center.  You will find our worship services are a blended style of worship where you might hear both hymns and contemporary music.  Our Pastor holds a high view of the Word of God and practices expositional preaching.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you are comfortable worshiping in! Some may be dressed in their “Sunday best,” while others will be dressed casually. It doesn’t matter to us what you wear.  It only matters that you show up.

What’s available for my children?

We want your children to be comfortable and feel loved at Calvary.  Since families are a such vital part of our ministry at Calvary, we encourage families to worship together.  Children’s Church, for K – 4th Grade, happens each week following our Call to Worship and Children’s Time with Pastor Fred. For the little ones, we offer Extended Care for Children age 4 and under, as well as Nursery Care for our infants and toddlers.

Will I be singled out in any way?

No! We want to create a comfortable environment for you to worship. If you are a guest, we will not ask you to give money, we won’t make you wear a visitor badge and we will not ask you to stand

up (and stand out like a sore thumb!).  We do request everyone that worships with us, (including members) to complete an attendance card.  This gives us an idea of how many people are worshipping with us.

How do I get there?

We are located on Old Jacksonville Highway, just north of Fresh by Brookshire’s and south of Grande Blvd.  A detailed map can be found in the Campuses section of the CBC app.
