Ministries of Calvary Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas

Growth in Christ—for Everyone.

Ministries

If the growth in Christ that happens as we devote ourselves to God's Word, prayer, and one another is like a vine, then our ministries are the trellis that gives structure & direction to the vine's growth so that the fullness of its beauty is displayed.

Children's Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Tyler Texas

Calvary Kids

At Calvary, your children are very special us. We want to come along beside you and your children to provide opportunities for them to grow in Christ.

“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14).

Safety is also important to us. It is our policy that anyone working in the children’s department pass a background check. We can never be too careful with the precious children God and you as parents have entrusted to us.

Sundays at Calvary Kids

9:00 am - 10:00 am—Gospel Project Bible Study

On Sunday mornings, your child is encouraged to join us in Bible study as we study The Gospel Project. This Bible study “shows how Christ fits into the entire gospel story, pre-creation to eternity.” The stories of the Bible will come to life through videos, music, activities, and so much more. We would love for your child to be a part!

10:00 am - 11:45 am—Extended Care

During the Worship Service, we provide an extra hour for your children to continue learning about God in an age-appropriate manner. From 10:15 until the end of the service, your children ages 4 and under are constantly playing, singing, and learning more about God. Extended care happens in rooms WC 115 & WC 116, which are located directly to the right of the Worship Center.

Women's Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Tyler Texas

Women’s Ministry

Hand in hand, arm in arm, shoulder to shoulder, walking with purpose as we learn, serve, and grow!

“and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Women’s Ministry Mission

The focus of the Calvary Women’s Ministry is to change lives, not create more programs. We pray that you will find the encouragement and equipping you need to grow in Christ The heart of our Women’s Ministry is reaching women and serving the Body of Christ through Calvary Baptist Church. It is our desire to encourage women of all ages in their relationship with Jesus — to grow and be all that God has designed us, as women, to be. Some of the avenues we use for ministry are: Bible study, retreats and conferences, as well as involvement in our fellowship opportunities, missions projects, craft nights, and special events. Our desire is to see the Ladies of CBC use their gifts and talents to further the work of the church and for the CBC Women to Walk with Purpose as they serve in and through our church, as well as our community and beyond. Wherever you are in your journey, we invite you to join us along the way as opportunities arise for us to serve together…
